About Me

When I was a little girl, I used to sit in a bathtub full of salt water and stare at my legs, waiting for my mermaid tail to appear. I have always felt like a fish out of water in our manic, Western world. All my studies and travels have been journeys into the depths of my being to find the undercurrent of meaning in my search for Self.

My undergraduate degree is in Cultural Anthropology, from Wake Forest University. I have always been fascinated with different paradigms of social organization and spirituality. I did graduate study in Mythology/Depth Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in order to expand my understanding of how we are shaped by our collective and personal stories.

The awareness of my personal myth—a heroine on her spiritual path— has infused my life’s journey with meaning and magic at every peak and valley. I am passionate about supporting others on their individual paths— by sharing tools to stay balanced while sucking the juice out of every day, however sweet or bitter. This was my motivation to pursue certification as a Life Coach through Coach Training Alliance. I support my clients with compassion, but without letting them squirm away from an opportunity for personal growth or greater fulfillment. I also enjoy facilitating creative workshops, as well as designing programs and retreats that focus on life balance and stress-relief for women’s groups and professional organizations.

Yoga is another cherished tool that I love to share. I’ve practiced and taught Yoga for almost a decade, completing multiple trainings and a two-year apprenticeship at the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara, California. I continually expand my Yogic knowledge with further training and workshops. At the end of last year, I traveled to Calgary, Canada to attend a specialized training in Svaroopa Yoga and will attend a deeper level of study with Svaroopa’s founder, Rama Berch this fall.
